International meeting of brass orchestras Muzikafest

Since 2004, the Salonit Anhovo Wind Orchestra has been organising an international meeting of wind orchestras in Deskla in the form of an entertainment programme called MUZIKAFEST. Orchestras from Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, France and elsewhere take part in the meeting. The initial meetings were aimed at cultural exchange and connecting local orchestras with foreign orchestras. Over time, Muzikafest has grown into a wonderful annual event where orchestras meet, exchange ideas, make friends on the one hand, and where locals and listeners can listen to and get to know different brass bands on the other. The Salonit Anhovo Wind Orchestra returns the visit to the visiting orchestras and, in addition to the friendship with the orchestras, spreads the voice of the home municipality across Slovenia. In 2025, Muzikafest will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
